The Dartmouth men's track and field team competed in two different meets on Saturday. They took to the track at Boston University for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational as well as competing in the Giegengack Invitational at Yale.
YALE GIEGENGACK INVITATIONAL
David Adams cleared 5.18m in the pole vault to win the event, setting a new PR and breaking the program record he had set earlier this season.
Sam Starrs finished second in the event, clearing 4.55m.
Dartmouth excelled in the weight throw to start the day, placing four throwers inside the top 6.
Ben Pable led the way with a throw of 19.26m to win the event.
Michael Gabriel threw for a new PR of 18.22m.
Jake Dalton finished in fifth place with a mark of 18.03m followed by
Colton McMaster in sixth, who threw for a personal best distance of 17.62m.
Ethan Hughes set new personal bests in the long jump (6.62m) and 60m dash (7.13).
Myles Epstein finished second in the 60m dash with a time of 6.96 seconds. Epstein then won the 200m run, crossing the finish line in 22.21.
Joaquin Deprez claimed first in the 400m race with a time of 51.52 seconds.
Max Klein took third in the shot put with a throw of 16.63m. McMaster finished third with a throw of 16.02.
BU DAVID HEMERY VALENTINE INVITATIONAL
Three Big Green runners set new PRs in the 800m run.
DJ Matusz finished with a time of 1:50.20 followed by
Isaac Weber (1:53.42) and
Baker Pashea (1:55.17).
In the 400m run,
Liam Murray ran a personal best time of 47.91, taking 10
th in the event.
Dartmouth will compete in the Alex Wilson Invitational next Saturday at Notre Dame.
