HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's track and field team competed at the first day of the 2023 Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Track and Field Championships at Leverone Field House on Saturday.
Myles Epstein advanced to the finals of the 60m dash after finishing the race with a time of 6.89 seconds, coming in second in his heat.
Liam Murray moved on to the 400m finals after finishing the race with a time 48.90 of seconds, taking second in his heat and fourth overall.
The Big Green had three runners advance to the finals of 1000m run.
Maclean Hadden (2:27.04),
Eric Gibson (2:27.08), and
DJ Matusz (2:27.50) all finished in the top eight overall to advance to the finals on Sunday.
Sam Starrs set a new PR in the pole vault after clearing 4.77m, the seventh best mark in program history.
Max Klein earned a podium finish in the shot put after throwing a personal best mark of 17.34m to claim fifth in the event. Klein's throw is fourth-best in program history.
Karl-Oskar Pajus currently sits third in the heptathlon standings with 2843 points after the first four events. Pajus took second in shot put with a throw of 13.31m.
Day two of the Ivy League Indoor Track & Field Championships continues tomorrow at 10 a.m. with the weight throw.
