PRINCETON, N.J. — The Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team opened the 2023 Ivy League Championships with eighth-place finishes in the 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay Wednesday evening at Princeton's DeNunzio Pool.

Lane Murray each swam lifetime-best splits in the four-day meet's opening event, the 200 medley relay, as the Big Green registered a time of 1:42.73 - the third-fastest in program history.
Sydney Rawie,
Christina Cianciolo,
Sophie Wiener and
Carly Joerin finished with a time of 7:31.88 in the 800 freestyle relay.

Princeton won both events and leads the pack at the opening day's conclusion with 128 points. Harvard, Yale, Brown and Columbia each follow closely with more than 100 points. Dartmouth ranks eighth with 88 points.

Thursday will feature finals for the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, 1-meter dive and 200 freestyle relay. Prelims will begin at 11 a.m. with finals set for 6 p.m. and all the action will be streamed live on ESPN+.
