HARTFORD, Conn. — The Dartmouth men's squash team opened the postseason with a 6-3 victory over Tufts at the CSA National Collegiate Men's Team Championships. The No. 10 Big Green secured their second win of the season against the No. 15 Jumbos to advance to the semifinals of the Hoehn Cup bracket.
The Big Green received strong performances from their top three positions, as
Jack Bell,
Mac Aube and
Christian Shah picked up crucial victories. Bell secured a win at position No. 1 against Harry Charlton in four frames. The senior fell in the opening set but rattled off three straight set wins to secure the point.
Aube recovered from a 2-0 deficit to push past Kunal Valia at the second position, while Shah won in four sets against Kerwin Teh. Luvan White was dominant in his win at position No. 6 over Oliver Eielson, sweeping the match 3-0 and allowing five or less points in each set.
Quintin Campbell and
Aryan Khandelwal closed out Dartmouth's quarterfinal victory with wins over Sanjeev Jeyabalan and Vivaan Jaikishan, respectively. The Big Green secured their third-straight win with today's victory over Tufts.
The Big Green will face off with No. 14 Williams tomorrow morning in the semifinal round of the Hoehn Cup. Dartmouth takes the court at 2:30 p.m. and a live stream to the action will be available on YouTube. Check the men's squash schedule page to access the stream.
