GREENVILLE, N.C. — The Dartmouth men's golf team closed its time at the Brook Valley Country Club with the third and final round of the ECU Intercollegiate. The Big Green concluded its second competition of the spring with an 11
th-place finish in a field of 16 teams.
Mark Turner closed out the competition with a top-20 finish, tying for 19
th in a field of 96 golfers. The senior co-captain led the Big Green on the course, shooting 2-over par on the final day of action in Greenville. Turner closes the tournament with scores of 75-75-74-224, showcasing his consistency throughout the event.
Alex Gu and
Aaron Zhang conclude the intercollegiate tied for 48
th, finishing the event at 14-over par. Gu shot 7-over 79 in the third and final round, while Zhang recorded consistent scores of 77-76-77-230 over the course of the tournament.
Dartmouth's field of five athletes was rounded out by
Eli Thrasher and
Eli Kimche, who tied for 67
th-place. Thrasher showed significant improvement from his first round the close the competition, recording scores of 86-72-77 and climbed eight spots in the final rankings. Kimche finished the tournament with scores of 79-78-78
Justin Lee competed as an individual and finished the tournament with at 30-over par and scores of 86-84-76-246.

Rich Parker said. "It's great to be back on the course. We will improve as a program as we go through the season."
Dartmouth finished the event ahead of Purdue Fort Wayne, Ohio, Marshall, Northern Kentucky and Cleveland State. East Carolina won the tournament, finishing its home event at 18-over par. ECU was trailed closely by Francis Marion (+20) and James Madison (+21) who rounded out the top three.
The Big Green are back in action this weekend in Berlin, Maryland for the 2023 iteration of the Battle at Rum Point. Dartmouth takes the course at the Rum Pointe Seaside Links on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26.
