HANOVER, N.H. —
Emmett Paradine of Dartmouth men's lacrosse was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for a third time on Monday after filling up the stat sheet in the season finale against Brown Saturday. Paradine finished with a goal, assist, groundball and two caused turnovers to cap off an impressive freshman season.
Both of Paradine's points came in the second half, scoring on a delayed penalty at 10:38 of the third quarter to pull Dartmouth within 9-8. He later assisted a
Colin McGill goal in the fourth to pull the Big Green within 13-10 with 8:20 still remaining. The effort was his fifth multi-point game of the season and first during the Ivy League. He did have a point in every Ivy League game up until that point, finishing the season with points in 11-of-12 games on the year.
Paradine wrapped up the season with 18 goals, nine assists, 12 groundballs and four caused turnovers. Dartmouth ended the season with five of the 11 Ivy League Rookie of the Week awards (three from Paradine, one from
Sam Cooper and one from
Max LaTorre).
The Big Green wrapped up their season with a 6-6 record, their most wins in a season and first time with a .500 record since 2008.
