HANOVER, N.H. — Six student-athletes from the Dartmouth men's track and field team will make the trip to the University of North Florida in Jacksonville for the NCAA East Region Preliminary meet. All six are scheduled to begin competition on Wednesday.

Ben Pable will compete in the hammer throw, which begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Senior

Dalton, Gabriel, and Pable, members of the national No. 12 hammer throw squad, look to make an impression early on Wednesday. Dalton enters the event ranked 20
th, followed by
Ben Pable (41
st) and
Michael Gabriel (43
rd). The New England champion and program record holder, Dalton has finished in the top five in each meet he's competed in this season, including two wins and a second-place finish at the Ivy League Championships. Pable has three top five finishes this outdoor season and is coming off a personal best throw of 61.49m at the New England Championships. Gabriel has finished in the top five at four meets this season and threw for a PR of 61.28m at the New England Championships.
Wildberg, the New England champion for the long jump, enters the competition at No. 45. Wildberg earned a spot on the podium at the Ivy League Championships as he finished fourth. His longest jump of the season, also a PR, came at the UConn Northeast Challenge when he finished with a mark of 7.51m.
Klein, a second team All-Ivy honoree, is ranked No. 36 going into the event on Wednesday. He has had a stellar outdoor season for the Big Green, finishing in the top five in shot put at each meet he has competed at. Klein finished second in the event at the Ivy League Championships but earned his spot at regionals with a throw of 18.00m at the George Davis Invitational.
Blake will be the lone runner for the Big Green, competing in the 800m race on Wednesday evening. Entering the event ranked No. 28, Blake comes in with a time of 1:48.42. Blake will need to place inside the top 24 of Wednesday's event to advance to the quarterfinals, scheduled for Friday evening. The top 12 from Friday's race will advance to nationals in early June.
For the field events, the top 12 will advance directly to nationals, which will take place at the University of Texas from June 7-10.
