Men’s Cross Country Hosts the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational on Saturday

The Big Green look to win their ninth-straight home meet
HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's cross country team hosts the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational on Saturday morning at the Dartmouth Cross Country Course. The Big Green will run against MIT.
The Big Green claimed second in the season opener at the UVM Invite last Saturday. Will Daley, James Lawrence and Albert Velikonja all finished with a time of 25:54.30 to take second, third and fourth in the race.
The Big Green have won their last eight home meets. Dartmouth won last year's meet after finishing with 29 points to edge out MIT and Maine. Lawrence led the way for the Big Green, taking third with a time of 25:35.62.
Saturday's race will be a 6k rather than the usual 8k due to weather concerns in the Upper Valley.
Results will be available through Millennium Running.
Dartmouth will have a two-week break from competition before running in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Friday, Sept. 29, at Franklin Park in Boston.
