PRINCETON, N.J. – Following his two-goal performance at Penn last weekend, men's soccer forward
Vasilis Moiras earned the Ivy League's offensive player of the week honor.
Moiras, now with six goals and two assists for 14 total points, matches his season total from last year with two regular season games to play.
With the Big Green down 2-0 to start the second half, Moiras took matters into his own hands, scoring two goals in just over ten minutes to tie the game.
His first goal came when he picked up the ball off a Penn defender and shot the ball from outside the box, making it a one goal game.
Soon after,
Trenton Blake collected a ball right past midfield and found Moiras at the top of the box. While falling and through two defenders, Moiras shot the ball to the right side of the goal, tying the game at two.
Moiras and the Big Green will return to action this weekend, playing their last regular season game at Burnham Field. They will host the Princeton Tigers for Senior Day on Saturday with a 7 p.m. kickoff. Dartmouth will then head to Harvard for their final regular season game of 2024 on Saturday, November 9.
