PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Big Green opened the Ivy League Championships with a program record in the 200 medley relay on Wednesday, and now on Friday, Dartmouth achieved another record-breaking time with a program-best effort in the 400 medley relay.
Now with 326 points, the Big Green have surpassed their point total from the 2023 Ivy League Championships (255.50) with still a full day of action remaining.
The 400 medley relay, led by Jamie Legh, featured lifetime-best splits from
Kathy Jia,
Lane Murray and
Carinn Bethea as the Big Green finished with a time of 3:41.10 to shave more than half a second off the previous record set at the 2019 Ivy League Championships.
Bethea was Dartmouth's first A finalist of the championships, placing fifth in the 200 free with a time of 1:48.61.
Legh appeared in the 100 back B Final and placed 12th at 54.94 seconds.
Julianne Jones was another B finalist, earning 13th in the 400 IM (4:20.99).
Rachel Zhang earned a personal-best time of 1:05.69 in the 100 breast prelims.
On the diving boards,
Maggie Lambdin was fourth in the 3-meter with a score of 239.30 and
Claire Cornell was seventh at 218.75.
Saturday, the final day of the Ivy League Championships, will feature the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 3-meter dive and 400 free relay.
