HANOVER, N.H. —
Ariana Ramsey '22, who helped the Big Green win three NIRA Division I championships during her decorated five-year career, was recently named to the Vancouver Sevens HSBC Dream Team.
HSBC Dream Teams are announced following each World Series 7s stop and consistently recognize the best players in the world.
We are incredibly proud of Ari making an HSBC World Series Dream Team for the first time," said Dartmouth's head coach
Katie Dowty. "She scorched the turf in Vancouver, leading scoring for the United States with five tries.
"She has achieved so much already in her career, but this is a special honor in the rugby world. It is a testament to her steady pursuit of excellence, her ability to ride out the highs and lows of professional sport and stay focused on her journey. We are so proud to call her one of our own and can't wait to see her continued rise on the international stage. If we know Ari, she will keep her head down and this will be the first of many times she is acknowledged as one of the best in the world."
Ramsey, the program's first-ever Olympian, led Dartmouth with 11 tries during the 2022 season that culminated in the Big Green's second straight NIRA title. Capping off an incredible career, Ramsey was presented with Dartmouth Athletics' highest honor, the Kenneth Archibald Prize, which is given annually to a top athlete with great academic prowess and high moral character.
Following Vancouver Sevens, Ramsey will be back in action March 1-3 in Los Angeles, the next World Series Sevens stop.
