Goguen, Bonnie and O’Neil Receive Postseason Ivy League Recognition

Goguen named second team All-Ivy, Bonnie named honorable mention and O’Neil named Academic All-Ivy
HANOVER, N.H. — Three members of the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team received postseason Ivy League honors on Wednesday, with sophomore defenseman Thomas Goguen garnering second team All-Ivy, senior Henry Bonnie earning honorable mention All-Ivy and junior Griffin O'Neil being named Academic All-Ivy.
Goguen emerged as the Big Green's top cover defenseman this season, regularly covering the opponent's top attackman and some of the best players in the nation (Sam King of Harvard, Matt Brandau of Yale, Mackesy of Princeton, etc.). In the process, Goguen posted 43 groundballs and 19 caused turnovers, which were second and first on the team, respectively. Goguen had three games with two or more caused turnovers this season, including at Bucknell, vs. Penn and at Harvard. He also had assists in consecutive games against Yale and Brown.

Bonnie also enjoyed a career season, finishing second on the team in goals (19) and third in points (24). He had five multi-goal games this season, including two hat tricks — against Lehigh and Yale. Bonnie scored a goal in 12 of the 13 games this season, including the final 11 contests, posting at least a point in all 13 games.🚨 Yard sale alert 🚨

Meanwhile, O'Neil received Academic All-Ivy recognition for his success in the classroom and on the field. On the field, the history major started all 13 games at defense and posted 17 caused turnovers, second on the team, to go with 33 groudballs.We are underway in the third quarter with the Big Green leading, 9-4. This is how the first-half scoring ended with Henry Bonnie giving Dartmouth a five-goal advantage at the break.
