HANOVER, N.H. – On Tuesday, College Sports Communicators announced its annual Academic All-District Baseball Teams, honoring two members of the Big Green. Juniors
Elliot Krewson and
Danny Will each earn recognition for their achievements on the field and in the classroom over the last year.
Â
To be considered for Academic All-District, student-athletes that are at least sophomores must have a cumulative 3.5 grade point average and have competed in 90% of their team's games or started 66%. Pitchers must have made 17 appearances or threw 25 innings.
Â
Krewson, a computer science and economics major, started in every game but one for the Big Green during his junior year, appearing in 38 games and having his best offensive season yet. His .315 batting average, a personal best as a member of the Big Green, ranked second overall on the team. He led the team with 51 hits, reaching the 100-career hit milestone, and stolen bases, swiping five bags. The infielder knocked in 22 runs, 8 more than his sophomore season, for third best on the team.
Â
Will made 17 appearances out of the bullpen, tossing 28.1 innings. Posting a 2-0Â record and earning one save, Will fanned 23 batters, walking only seven. He pitched nine more innings in two less appearances than he did last year, posting a 5.40 earned run average, the second best on the team.
Â
Will's best appearance came on the spring trip at LMU. He gave up only one run on two hits in three innings during the Big Green's winning effort. The biomedical engineering major is completing a five year Bachelor of Engineering program in four years, most recently presenting research at the Orthopaedic Research Society international conference this past February.
Â
The Big Green went 13-26 during the 2024 season, improving by ten wins from the 2023 season.
