HANOVER, N.H.—The Dartmouth women's rugby opened the 2024 15's season on Saturday morning at Brophy Field. The Big Green notched their first win of the season convincing fashion defeating Army 49-5.
Just over 10 minutes into the match the Big Green opened the scoring as Katelyn Walker dove across the try line to give Dartmouth an early 5-0 lead. Annie Henrich converted the conversion to give Dartmouth a 7-0 lead.

Walker notched her second try of the game less than eight minutes later to give Dartmouth a 12-0 lead.
Following an Army try, Walker completed the first half hat-trick just over 32 minutes into the game, with the try Dartmouth led 17-5.

Before halftime, Dartmouth's Paola Arredondo Almeida tallied her first try of the season to give Dartmouth a 22-5 lead. During stoppage time, Henrich knocked a penalty kick through the uprights to give Dartmouth a 25-5 lead at halftime.
Just over four minutes into the second half, Kyla Widodo put the Big Green up 30-5. Henrich's big day continued as she notched her first try of her collegiate career to give Dartmouth a 35-5 lead.
At the 65:05 mark of the game, Widodo notched her second try of the game to give Dartmouth a commanding 42-5 lead.

Allie Amerson scored the final try of the game with just over five minutes left in the second game. Following a Henrich conversion, Dartmouth led 49-5.
Dartmouth has started 1-0 every season since the program started in 2015.
The Big Green have won five straight matches against Army and are 8-3 in the last 11 matches against Black Knights. Dartmouth is 4-1 all-time against Army at Brophy Field.
Dartmouth is back on the field on Saturday, Sept. 7, the Big Green travels to Brunswick, Maine to take on Bowdoin in a non-conference match prior to returning to Brophy Field on Sept. 14 to host Princeton.
