HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team opened its 2025-26 season against Brown and Princeton at the Karl Michael and Spaulding Pools. The Big Green fell to Princeton 228.5-71.5 and Brown 198-102.
Â
"It was great to see our swimmers and divers step up to really embrace competing with a couple of the top teams in the women's League this weekend," said Dartmouth head coach
Milana Socha. "Coming right off a hard week of training in early season, seeing
Kathy Jia,
Maggie Lambdin, and our 200 medley relay group all pick up event wins in addition to seeing our other women keep fighting through the finish, shows we are starting off in the right direction. They have built some really good momentum that we will carry into this week of training and our meet next weekend."
Â
Dartmouth event wins over Brown started off on Friday with
Maggie Lambdin in the 3-meter dive (310.40 points). It continued on Saturday with the Big Green's 200 medley relay of
Sena Bozkurt,
Kathy Jia,
Lane Murray and
Samantha Li posting a time of 1:44.01, just over a second ahead of Brown's first team to finish. Â Bozkurt's 50 backstroke split of 26.20 to open the 200 medley relay also marked a lifetime best.
Â
Meanwhile, Jia picked up an individual event win over Princeton in the 100 breastroke, posting a time of 1:04.43.
Â
The Big Green return to action this weekend when they host Harvard and Cornell on Friday beginning at 3:30 p.m.
