BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The Dartmouth men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the spring season. The Big Green fell to Indiana 4-2 in the non-conference action.
Doubles
The Big Green fell in both second and third doubles to start the day. Alex Knox-Jones and Hikaru Takeda played in the second doubles position. The duo fell 6-2 to the Hoosiers.
Miles Groom and Yujiro Onuma played in third doubles and fell 6-3.
Waleed Qadir and Henry Ren were up 5-4 in first doubles, but the match did not finish due to the doubles point was decided.
Singles
Ren was slotting in third singles for the Big Green. He won the first set 6-2 and then secured a sweep with a 6-4 win in the second set.
Groom was slotted in the fifth position for singles. He won the opening set 6-2 and then secured a straight set win with a 6-4 win in the second set.
Ren improves to 3-0 this season in singles while Groom is now 4-0 in the spring.
The Big Green take on Butler on Sunday to close out the weekend in Indiana. First serve is scheduled for Noon in Indianapolis.
