PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Dartmouth women's tennis opened the ECAC Indoor Championship on Friday at Penn. Dartmouth faced the second seeded Havard Crimson. The Crimson won 4-0 to eliminate the Big Green from championship contention.
Doubles
Brooke Hess and Sam Grosjean played third doubles and despite taking four games the Big Green duo fell 6-4.
Elizabeth Fahrmeier and Elise Wong were teamed up in second doubles. The duo fell 6-2 as Harvard secured the doubles point.
Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore were up 5-4 in first doubles but the match was called due to Harvard winning the doubles point.
Singles
Lauren Han was the first to finish in fourth singles as she fell in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
Grosjean played in third singles but fell 6-3, 6-3 as Harvard took a 3-0 lead.
Capuano played in the first singles position for the Big Green. She fell in the first set 6-4 and looked to even the match but fell 7-5 in the second set.
Moore took the first set of second singles and was tied at five in the second set when the match was ended.
Caroline Lemcke was tied at a set each in sixth singles before the match was ended.
The Big Green take on Brown on Saturday morning with first serve slated for 11 AM in Philadelphia.
