PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—The Dartmouth women's tennis team came away with a 4-3 win over Brown on Saturday in the ECAC Indoor Championship.
Doubles
Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore played in first doubles for the Big Green. The duo were the first members of the Big Green to get a win with a 6-3 win.
Elizabeth Fahrmeier and Elise Wong won the doubles point for the Big Green in second doubles. They won their match 6-3 to secure the doubles point.
Singles
Capuano earned the first singles point for the Big Green as she was nearly perfect in first singles. She won the first set 6-0 and then won the match with a 6-1 win in the second set.
Sam Grosjean played in fourth singles on Saturday and picked up the second singles point for the Big Green. She won the first set 6-4 and the secured the win with a 6-1 second set win.
The match came down to second singles as Moore looked to win the match for the Big Green. Moore fell 6-3 in the opening set but responded with a 7-5 win in the second set. In the third and final set she dominated with a 6-0 win. The third set sweep gave the Big Green a 4-3 win in the match.
Dartmouth takes on Cornell at 1 PM on Sunday in the fifth place match of the ECAC Indoor Championship.
