HANOVER, N.H.- Eight members of the Dartmouth men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been named to the CSC Academic All-District team for their outstanding performance in the classroom and in the pool.

Earlier this year, both teams were recognized as CSCAA Scholar All-America, an honor that the team has been included in since Head Coach
Milana Socha took the helm prior to the 2022-23 season.

On the women's side,
McLane Gmelich,
Maggie Lambdin,
Alyssa Palacios and
Kathy Jia received the honors while
Yan Dvoretskiy,
Aryeh Lesch, Alex Ye and
Colton Rasmussen were recognized.

Gmelich is an environmental science major and HCD (?) minor,ÂÂÂÂ. During the season, she swam a lifetime best against Cornell in the 100 fly with a time of 56.04. She was part of an impressive 800 free relay that saw a time of 7:26.00 at the Ivy League Championships.

Jia, who is undecided, was part of shattered records this season. At the Ivy League Championships, she was part of the 200 medley relay that set a team record with a time of 1:31.91. She was stellar in the fly all season and during the Tate Ramsden Invitational, she etched her name in Dartmouth history by breaking a pool record in the 200 breast with a time of 2:15.09.

Lambdin, who is undecided, qualified for NCAA Diving Zones during the season and became the first women in Dartmouth history to compete on the platform at Zones. At the Ivy League Championships, Lambdin finished fourth overall in the A-Final of the 3-meter. During the Tate Ramsden Invitational, the diver broke the pool record and school record on the 3-meter with a total score of 340.55.

In the classroom, Palacios is a psychology major and a studio art minor. The senior diver qualified for NCAA Diving Zones during the regular season. She placed second at Cornell on the 1-meter with a score of 245.55. In the Ivy League Championships, she scored a 247.70 on the 3-meter to place 18
th.

Dvoretskiy, a junior computer science major, set some records this past year with the Big Green. At the Ivy League Championships, he was part of the 400 freestyle relay that broke a school record with a time of 2:54.49.

Lesch, a history major, qualified for NCAA diving zones on both the 1-meter and the 3-meter during his junior season. During the regular season, Lesch finished second against Columbia on the 1-meter with a score of 324.90.

Ye is a computer science major. He is a leader in the classroom and in the pool serving as a captain for the Big Green in his senior season. He swam a lifetime best in the 100 fly against Cornell and Harvard with a time of 45.38.

In the classroom, Rasmussen is an economics major. This season he was tremendous in the pool shattering multiple records both individually and as a part of relay teams. He placed first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 48.84 at the Tate Ramsden Invitational. He was also part of the 200 free relay that broke a school record at Ivy League Championships with a time of 1:18.71
