BOSTON, Mass.—Hank Cleaves and Hayden Stavroff were both named semi-finalists for the Walter Brown Award by The Gridiron Club of New England. The Walter Brown Award is presented annually to the best American-born Division I college hockey player in New England.
Cleaves has already set new career highs in goals and assists in his sophomore season with the Big Green. The Riverside, Conn. native has nine goals this season with a team high 18 assists. This season he has seven multi-point games with one four-point game and three three point games. He has 279 faceoff wins this season which is the most in the ECAC and tied for 13th in all of Division I. Over the last five games, he has points in four of them while totaling six points.
Stavroff is the current leader in goals and goals per game in the NCAA this season. The sophomore has 22 goals this season along with 10 assists through 23 games. The Columbus, Ohio native has eight multi-point games this season which is tied for the third most in the ECAC. He averages 1.39 points per game which is second in the ECAC, he is tied for second for points in the ECAC. The Hobey Baker nominee is the only player in the ECAC with multiple hat-tricks this season. He has six multi-goal games this season including a four-goal game against Brown on Dec. 5.

No. 14 Dartmouth men's hockey hits the ice for its first of five straight road games on Friday, Feb. 6 against Harvard. Faceoff is set for 7 PM in Cambridge.
