HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth volleyball team hits the road again this weekend, traveling to Hamilton, N.Y., for the Ellis Rowland Memorial Tournament, where it will face UAlbany, Northeastern and host Colgate over three days.

Coming Off Opening Weekend
The Big Green opened the season 2-1 at the Buffalo/Canisius Invitational, splitting a home-and-home with Canisius and dropping a four-set decision at Buffalo. Dartmouth hit .226 as a team over the three matches while holding opponents to a .156 attack percentage, and out-blocked its competition 35.0-20.0, a sign of the depth up front that the Big Green will lean on again this weekend.

Players to Watch
Zori Brown has been the Big Green's most productive hitter through three matches, leading the team with 36 kills and a 3.00 kills-per-set average on a .301 hitting percentage, while also chipping in 33 digs. Her performance last weekend earned her a spot on the Buffalo/Canisius Invitational all-tournament team. Riley Imamura isn't far behind with 35 kills and a team-high-tying 41.0 points. Up front, Elle McCreery has been Dartmouth's top blocker with 17 total blocks and a 1.42 blocks-per-set average, and Raeli Smith (10 total blocks) and Irmak Makasci (seven total blocks, a team-high-tying seven aces) have added to the Big Green's early blocking edge.
Setter Sophia Gagnepain has run the Dartmouth offense to a 4.58 assists-per-set average through the opening weekend, while freshman Audrey Kalorin has been efficient in a hybrid role, hitting .429 with 15 assists. Sloan Balsley leads the back row with 26 digs and a 2.36 digs-per-set average.

Scouting UAlbany
The Great Danes are 2-4 to start the season but enter Hamilton on a two-match winning streak, having outlasted Cornell in five sets and swept Howard on Sept. 5. UAlbany is hitting .169 as a team against a tougher .259 mark allowed to opponents. Pinar Erol leads the offense with 60 kills and a team-high 2.61 kills per set, while Campbell Robinson (46 kills, .360 hitting percentage) and Lily Lott (48 kills) round out UAlbany's primary attackers. Setter Addy Bianchini directs the offense at 6.78 assists per set, and libero Kasia Barletta paces the defense with 84 digs.

Scouting Northeastern
Northeastern is 1-4 but has been competitive in its losses, falling in five sets to both Fairfield and Harvard in its last two matches. Emma Rowell has been Northeastern's clear focal point on offense, leading the team with 70 kills and a 3.50 kills-per-set average — tops among all four teams in the field — to go with a team-high 73 points. Cayenne Ceman (51 kills) and Brynn Smith (39 kills, a team-high eight aces) provide additional firepower, while Kaylin Daniels anchors the block with 21 total blocks. Setter Arina Sosinovica is running the Huskies' attack at 6.15 assists per set.

Scouting Colgate
The host Raiders are also 2-4, with wins over Morehead State and Princeton offset by losses to Tennessee, Fairfield, Arizona State and Villanova — the latter a five-set defeat on Sept. 6. Colgate is hitting .191 as a team but has allowed opponents to hit .287, an area the Raiders will look to shore up on their home floor. Tiana Owens leads Colgate with 62 kills and a team-high 68.5 points, with Morgan Reese (46 kills) and Julia Headley (35 kills, .362 hitting percentage) also key parts of the attack. The Raiders split time at setter between Ava Schabes (102 assists, 4.64 A/S) and Reagan Knipling (87 assists), while libero Hannah Langton leads the defense with 82 digs and Stella Labrecque paces the block with 17 total blocks.
