HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth men's soccer picked up a 3-1 victory over visiting No. 18 Vermont in front of a near-capacity crowd at Burnham Field. The Big Green scored twice in the first half and once in the second half to down the Catamounts.
The win for the Dartmouth men's soccer program was the first over a nationally ranked opponent since defeating University of New Hampshire in 2016 and marked the first win over a top-20 opponent since the Big Green downed Hofstra in 2015.
In the 50th all-time meeting between the two sides, Dartmouth wasted no time getting out to an early lead. Trenton Blake fired a shot on frame that was turned away by the Vermont goalkeeper directly into a waiting Ben Bilden. Bilden did the rest and scored his first goal of the season, putting the Big Green up 1-0 in the fourth minute of play.
ON THE BOARD.
Ben Bilden puts us on the board first, just four minutes into play against #18 Vermont! 🔥
The first half appeared as if it would see Dartmouth leading after 45 minutes of play 1-0. Eidur Baldvinsson made sure that was not the case as he scored his second goal of the season in the 36th minute to put the Big Green up 2-0. Vermont responded less than a minute later to cut the Dartmouth lead in half heading into halftime.
In the opening minutes of the second half, the Big Green was able to withstand a second-half push from the Catamounts and keep the lead in Dartmouth's favor.
With just more than 10 minutes left in the game, first-year forward Bo Robbins scored one of the best goals of the season. Trenton Blake played a ball through the opposing 18-yard box and found a waiting Robbins who volleyed the ball home to put Dartmouth in front 3-1. Blake ended the evening with two assists.

In the game's final 10 minutes, the Big Green was able to shut the door and earn a decisive victory on their home field.
TJ Jeffreys made five saves in goal, setting a new season high.
Dartmouth's win over Vermont handed the Catamounts their first regular-season loss since the 2024 season. The three goals scored by the Big Green are the most the Catamounts have allowed in any game this season.
