Started 32 of the 40 games behind the plate as a rookie … led team with eight sacrifice bunts … threw out 10 of 38 would-be base stealers … started slow at the plate but heated up for the games in the North, batting .278/.373/.486 with six doubles and three home runs over the last 25 games ... picked up his first career hit against Northeastern on March 3 … singled, stole a base and drove in the winning run in a 4-1 victory over Georgetown the next day … went 1-for-2 with a walk, run, RBI and two sacrifices — one a successful squeeze — in an 11-9 win at Cal State Bakersfield … reached base three times in the home opener with two singles and a walk while driving in one of the 11 runs against Quinnipiac … produced an RBI double in the 5-4 win at Penn to open Ivy play … cracked his first career homer in a 10-4 win over Columbia … went yard again two days later in a loss to UMass Lowell … hit safely in all three games at Yale, going 4-for-9 with a double, walk and three RBIs … provided an insurance run in the ninth with a run-scoring single of the 3-1 triumph over the Bulldogs … double, homered, scored twice and drove in two against Princeton in the 14-3 win … scored three times in the second game of the twinbill with the Tigers … went 2-for-3 with a double, run and two RBIs in the 12-1 win over Middlebury.
