Q and A with Felicia
Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because of its sense of community. I felt extremely welcomed when I visited during Dimensions, and I've definitely found a great family in the equestrian team.
How long have you been riding and what got you interested in riding?
I rode for two years in middle school, and started riding when a friend invited me to take a lesson with her. I wasn't very athletic as a child, but my parents insisted that I be involved in a sport, so I chose equestrian since I enjoy hanging out with the horses.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I was on a televised Hong Kong talent show when I was seven. They filmed aspects of my life, took us on various trips, and asked us to endorse a lot of clothing and shoes. I was the youngest participant and didn't really have an actual talent, so I didn't win, but it was still a lot of fun to be on TV!
What activities are you involved in outside of Equestrian?
I'm a Great Issues Scholar at the Dickey Center and a Class Agent for the Alumni Affairs Office of my high school, Phillips Academy Andover.
What are your future plans?
I hope to figure out what I want to study at Dartmouth, try new activities, and continue meeting lots of interesting people!
