Q & A with Jake:
Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because I knew it could provide me with an awesome academic environment. Also, I felt like I fit in well with the cross country team and I loved the idea of training in Hanover.
When did you start running and what got you interested?
I first started running cross country in 7th grade because my brother was extremely successful running for Dartmouth, so I figured I might be too. Also, my mom had always run for fitness, and my oldest sister was on the high school track team. I went on to run xc all four years of high school and served as team captain for both my junior and senior years.
Tell me something that might surprise your teammates?
I love to surf and water ski.
What are your future plans?
I plan on teaching high school and coaching both swimming and running when I graduate.
