Before Dartmouth: Mitchell was a four year letterwinner in cross country and track at Fox Lane High School ... lettered in swimming his freshman and sophomore year ... sophomore through senior year, his track team competed in the NY State Championship ... in his junior and senior years, Mitchell was named to the all-league and all-county teams for track and cross country, competing in events such as the 800m, 1600m and the 4x800m run ... outside of athletics, he was a member of the National Honor Society, an AP Scholar and a member of the future business club.
Personal: Jamie is the son of Charles and Fiona Mitchell and he has one brother and one sister ... at Dartmouth, he plans to study economics in hopes to pursue a career in business.

Why Dartmouth?
I enjoyed the variety of character on the team, there's never a dull moment- especially when Dwayne is around.
How long have you been running cross country and what got you interested in cross country?
I've been running since my freshman year in high school. I picked up cross country after running track in middle school.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
My mother is Kenyan.What are yout future plans, if any?
Staying in school.
