Before Dartmouth: Attended Poly Prep CDS in Brooklyn...He is a four-time letterman in cross country and both indoor and outdoor track and field... Served as team captain during his junior and senior seasons and for both track teams in his final season... A five-time NYSAIS league champion across the 4x400m, 4x800m and the 800m... Poly Prep is an member of the Ivy Preparatory School League where he won a 4x400m conference title as a senior.... A three-time All-Ivy performer in cross country, including twice making first team... In track, Hinz was alsop a two-time first teamer and once a member of the second team... An all-state track honoree as a junior.
