Bio
Shunsuke Aonuma, or Shun as he prefers, comes from Honolulu, Hawaii as a graduate of Iolani High School.
Dartmouth Career
2008-09: Competed in the Dartmouth Invitational where he tied for 25th place.
2007-08: Competed in the Cornell Invitational and the MacDonald Cup at Yale.
2006-07: Competed in the ECAC Championships and Rhode Island Invitational.
Before Dartmouth: Aonuma lettered in varsity golf all four years and in 2005 rose to the Number 1 spot on his team. He played in the Interscholastic League of Hawaii (ILH) Championship tournament in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
Shun was named to the League First Team in 2005, and in 2004 and 2006 he earned a spot on the League Second Team for golf. He also was granted the Eddie Hamada Award for Most Inspirational Player.
In high school he was a part of academic and mentoring programs such as the Big Brother of Iolani, the I-Club (a school community service project), the Math Team, and Volunteer Tutors.
