Men's Heavyweight Rowing
at Head of the Charles
Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because of the passionate people, the laid-back atmosphere and the chance to row miles of flat water on the Connecticut.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
I've been rowing since my freshman year in high school, where school policy dictated me participating in a sport every term and I had no experience with a Spring sport.
Have you won any academic or rowing awards recently?
Not since freshman year, where I received the Robert Fisher award for most outstanding freshman oarsman.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
Something that might come as a surprise to my teammates would be that I came to Dartmouth with no intention of rowing, but that when I got here the atmosphere of the team and the character of the athletes convinced me that this is what I wanted to do.
What are your future plans, if any.
I am an economics major studying premedicine, so a career in either business or healthcare is a future career plan. I intend on taking time off after college, though, to pursue rowing and see how far I can get.
