Q and A with Sunder:

Where are you from and whom did you row for prior to Dartmouth?

I am from New York, and I had never rowed previous to coming to Dartmouth. I am a walk-on.

Why did you choose Dartmouth and the Dartmouth Rowing Program?

I chose Dartmouth because of the extreme excitement for the school that I felt from alumni and current students. I wanted a small school with lots of school spirit and high activity: Dartmouth fit the mold perfectly. I chose Dartmouth rowing for many of the same reasons. The people involved in Dartmouth rowing seem truly passionate about the sport, as seen by the high involvement and generosity of the Friends of Dartmouth rowing, as well as by the time and effort put in by our team members. I also love being out on the water.

What do you participate in at Dartmouth, apart from rowing?

Other than crew, I participate in the Big Brother Big Sister program and I have a job as a tutor for Tutor Clearinghouse.

Tell me something about yourself that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

Space Jam is my favorite movie of all time.

What is your best memory from rowing at Dartmouth so far?

Adventures in the Oak Ridge Walmart during spring training are unforgettable.

What are your plans for the future?

I want to be a doctor when I graduate.
