Q&A with Ben Spero

-Why Dartmouth?

What I loved so much about Dartmouth was the sense of community that existed at the school. There are many places where you can receive a great education, but it is the people who will make a difference over your four years in college.

-How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?

I walked onto the team during the fall of my freshmen year at Dartmouth. Rowing sounded like an opportunity to challenge myself physically and mentally. My teammates are also pretty cool guys.

-Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

My play list I listen to while erging contains a fair amount of 90's pop artists.

-What are your future plans, if any.

I am planning on majoring in economics, so I will most likely pursue a career in business. One thing I always wanted to do is go to New Zealand at some point in my life.
