Daniel Graber was named an assistant coach in June of 2021.
Graber spent the 2020-21 season as a volunteer assistant coach at Virginia Tech. While in Blacksburg, he coached the mid-distance and sprint groups during a season when 18 school records were broken. At NCAAs, both teams earned the most points in program history, with the men improving from 35th to 11th and the women moving up from 40th to 21st. The Hokies also had the most individual NCAA qualifiers in men's and women's school history.
While coaching at Virginia Tech, Graber was also assistant coach for Pinnacle Racing. He coached multiple Olympians, modified training plans for the individual athletes, and led dryland workouts. Prior to that, Graber was an assistant age group coach with the TAC Titans in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Graber graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina State with a degree in mechanical engineering in May of 2019. A four-year member of the Wolfpack swim team, he was a four-time CSCAA Scholar All-American, three-time NCAA All-American, and a two-time ACC champion and conference record holder. He helped lead his team to four consecutive ACC Championship titles and four top-four NCAA finishes.
