PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team kicked off an incredible start to the Ivy League Championships at Brown University on Wednesday evening.
"This was an exceptionally strong start to the meet - nearly all relay splits were lifetime best times. The men set a great stage for what they can accomplish this week," said Head Coach
Milana Socha.
The 200 medley relay of
Jagger Stachtiaris,
Eddy Chen,
Alexander Ye and
William McClelland went the second fastest time in program history with a time of 1:28.09. McClelland anchored the relay and broke the 20 second barrier for the first time.
The 800 free relay of
Yan Dvoretskiy,
Isaac Weigel,
Jacob Turner and
Colton Rasmussen swam the fastest time in team history with a 6:25.17. Dvoretskiy's 200 free leadoff split is now the third fastest on the All-Time Top 10 list, 1:36.01.
