Milana Socha is entering her fourth year as the head coach of the Dartmouth men's and women's swimming and diving programs in 2025-26 after returning to Hanover in May 2022.
2024-25: In the 2024-25 season, Socha coached the men's and women's swim and dive teams to multiple shattered records. She helped lead seven divers to NCAA Diving Zones including two podium finishes at Ivy League Championships. McCoy Lyman placed second in the three meter and Maggie Lambdin placed fourth on the three meter.
On the swimming side, five athletes competed at the TYR Pro Series. This event consisted of elite competition from all over the country, including former Olympians and world record holders. Izzy Mundee, Jagger Stachtiaris, Tommy Erwin, William McClelland and Jacob Turner were the five athletes that represented Dartmouth at the meet.
2023-24: During her second year at the helm of the program, Socha had three male divers qualify for the NCAA Diving Zone Championships, landed a top 10 finish at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship, and the men's team placed eighth at the Ivy League Championship. The men's team also had 37 swimmers earn top-ten program times all time during the 23-24 season.
The women's team had similar success, having four divers compete at the NCAA Diving Zone Championships, competed at the CSCAA National and Invitational Championships, and had a 200 point improvement from last year to this year's Ivy League Championship. The women's swimmers and divers saw 39 entries into the top-ten program records this season.
2022-23: The men's swimming and diving team earned a program record in the 200 free relay (Tim Cushman, Tim Park, Colton Rasmussen, Joe Moll) and Julianne Jones of the women's team did the same in the 400 IM, both during the Ivy League Championships. Both the men's and women's teams earned CSCAA Scholar All-America honors and Everett Tai was named a Second Team Scholar All-American. Tim Park and Christina Cianciolo were Dartmouth's Academic All-Ivy selections.
An assistant coach for three years at Dartmouth from 2017-20, Socha spent the past two years as an assistant coach for the nationally ranked teams at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Prior to arriving in Hanover, Socha spent the 2016-17 season as an assistant for the women’s swimming and diving team at the University of Toledo. She was in charge of recruiting, social media, dryland and spring training, coordinating travel and fundraising. In addition to her normal duties, she also coached a high school boys’ team during the summer.
