Before Dartmouth

Grant Sparling attended St. Anne's Catholic Secondary School and participated in cross country, volleyball, track and field, nordic skiing, and swimming. In addition to his many team accomplishments, Sparling was awarded first place at the Western Ontario Championship in 110M hurdles and 400M hurdles. He was named MVP in track and field for St. Anne's CSS all four years of his high school career. In addition to athletics, Sparling was selected to attend the Hugh O'Brien Leadership Conference and was selected as one of Canada's "Top 20 under 20" by Youth in Motion.
