USATF All-Nebraska Team his sophomore and junior year... outside of athletics he achieved highest honors his sophomore year, and All-Metro Academic Team for Track & Field his junior and senior year.

Personal: Ethan is the son of Rodney and Terilynn Ruh and has one brother... self-proclaimed food critic and founder of "Burger Club" at his high school, where members would just hang out and eat cheeseburgers... at Dartmouth, he plans to study economics or biology in hopes for a career in either business or medicine.
