Q and A with Emily
Why Dartmouth?
I fell in love with Dartmouth the first time I visited, and there was no question in my mind that if I could go anywhere, I would choose Dartmouth. What originally enticed me were the great academics, beautiful campus, and the surrounding area. However, in looking more in depth at Dartmouth, I found that what I love most about it is the bright but fun and enthusiastic students here.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
I walked on to the team as a sophomore due to a group of great friends who all row. Since rowing is not very popular in Cleveland, I thought that college would be the perfect time to try it!
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I love to read, and when I was young I would be so engrossed in my books that when it was time to go to bed, I would pretend that I couldn't hear my parents telling me to stop reading.
What are your future plans, if any?
I would love to be able to work abroad for the U.S. government. However, my love for animals, especially horses, has also led me to look into veterinary medicine, which I am still considering as a possible future career.
