Sam Marsh joined the Dartmouth volleyball program as an assistant coach in August 2023.
During the 2024 season, Marsh helped the Big Green through a 3-0 weekend when hosting the Dartmouth Invitational taking wins over Providence, Quinnipiac and Siena. In the conference slate, Dartmouth recorded back-to-back sweeps versus Columbia and Penn. Later in the season, they swept Columbia again in New York.
Marsh comes to Hanover after helping the Penn State men's volleyball program garner a pair of EIVA Tournament titles and NCAA Tournament bids, including a semifinal appearance in 2023, during a five-year playing career. He received back-to-back All-EIVA honorable mentions beginning with his junior season, in which he racked up a team-high 66.0 total blocks. Marsh added an AVCA Player of the Week accolade as a senior in 2022 after hitting .782 with 19 kills over two winning efforts against No. 6 Grand Canyon.
He hails from London, England and was a member of the English Junior National Team between 2016-18 and earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Penn State in 2022 before receiving his master's in the same field in 2023.
