Shea Decker-Jacoby joined the Dartmouth volleyball program as an Assistant Coach in January 2025.
“Shea is an exceptional volleyball mind with intense passion for coaching. She brings a great energy to train athletes and elite analytics to elevate DVB. We are very excited to welcome Shea to the Woods!” said Dartmouth Head Coach Kevin Maureen Campbell.
Prior to Dartmouth, Decker-Jacoby worked with Michigan State volleyball as the performance analyst since 2022. As the performance analyst, Decker-Jacoby handled the program’s match and practice statistical collection and analysis, while also overseeing video operations. She played a role in tracking on court player performance and providing an opponent stat scout for future matches. Decker-Jacoby joined the Spartans after previously working at the University of Virginia and George Mason University as an on-court assistant and performance analyst.
Decker-Jacoby has worked as a support analyst for the US Women’s National Team at the 2024 Paris Olympics and annually with the Volleyball Nations League (VNL). She was named the performance analyst for the 2023 Collegate Women’s National Volleyball Team and has assisted with their Open Tryout each year at the Olympic Training Center. For the 2024 NCAA National Championships in Louisville, Ky., she coded the semifinal matches for the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s presentation for the semifinal match analysis.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Decker-Jacoby graduated from Brandeis University as a double major in American Studies and International Global Studies in 2019. She was a four-year starter for the Judges, wrapping up her collegiate career ranked in the program’s top 15 for kills and kills per set. After her collegiate career, Decker-Jacoby graduated magnum cum laude with her master’s degree specializing in Professional and Collegiate Sports Business and Operations from New York University.
“Dartmouth made a fantastic choice in hiring Shea Decker-Jacoby. Her relentless work ethic, thirst for learning, and creative initiative made her invaluable as a data analyst, and now she’ll bring those same elite qualities to the court. More importantly, she is an outstanding person—kind, thoughtful, and always putting the team first. She is poised to thrive in this new role, and I have no doubt she will make a tremendous impact,” said Leah Johnson, Former Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Michigan State.
