Dartmouth Cross Country Competes at New England Championship
BOSTON, Mass. -- As both teams rested their top seven runners, Dartmouth cross country competed at the New England Championship on Saturday.
The Big Green men were sixth among 45 schools, while the women were 25th in a field of 46.
For the men, freshman Alex Hall (Manchester, N.H.) had the top finish at Franklin Park, taking 25th in a time of 25:20. Classmate Kevin Treadway (Niskayuna, N.Y.) was 36th in 25:29.
Rounding out the top five were senior Mark Brissette (Stonington, Conn.), junior Grant Allen (Sugar Grove, Pa.) and sophomore Hari Iyer (Saratoga, Calif.).
Freshman Kat Eidmann (Winchester, Mass.) was the Big Green's top women's finisher. Her time of 18:23 was good for 26th.
In the men's jayvee race, Dartmouth was second among 24 schools.
On Saturday, October 14, the Big Green men's and women's squads will compete at the NCAA Pre-Meet, hosted by Indiana State.
