NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Dartmouth women's volleyball team is wrapping up its season on the road as the Big Green dropped a tough 3-0 match to Yale tonight in New Haven, Conn. Game scores were 30-28, 30-12, 30-20. Yale outhit the Big Green in the match, .270 to .067.
Dartmouth appeared to be in the match as the Big Green kept up with the Bulldogs throughout the first game, only losing 30-28. But in the second game it was all Yale as the Big Green could manage only 12 points. Dartmouth tried to come back n the third game but Yale proved too tough as the Bulldogs won their 15th game of the season to improve to 15-7 overall and 10-3 in the Ivy League. The Bulldogs are still in the hunt for the Ivy League title. The loss drops Dartmouth to 11-12, 5-8 Ivy.
Nadine Parris was tops with seven kills for the Big Green. Freshman Megan MacGregor led her team in digs with 12 while adding three service aces. Katie Hirsch had a double-double with 22 assists and 11 digs with another freshman, Amanda Marston chipping in 10 digs.
Dartmouth wraps up the 2006 season tomorrow in a 4:00 pm match against Brown.
