Brittney Smith Earns Second-Straight Ivy Rookie of the Week Award

Princeton, N.J. - Dartmouth women's basketball freshman Brittney Smith (Fort Worth, Texas) has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive week.
Smith played an important role in the Big Green's first victory of the season, a 53-50 win at Sacred Heart last Tuesday. The 6-1 forward had a versatile outing with nine points, seven rebounds, two assists two blocks and one steal in a career-high 37 minutes.
Smith ranks second on the team in both scoring with 7.7 points per game and rebounding with 7.3 per game. Her 7.3 caroms per game rank her fourth in the Ivy League and she leads the conference in offensive rebounds with 3.5 per game.
The Big Green (1-5) is in the midst of a four-game road swing, next heading to Stony Brook on Friday, December 14 for a 7:00 p.m. start.
