In the first match of the day, the Big Green swept the Seawolves, dropping only one set. The doubles came out strong with impressive wins by the first and second doubles teams of Waslen/Freeman and Schechtman/McGaughey.
At No. 1 singles senior Dave Waslen took care of business coming back from a break down in the first set to a 6-4, 6-2 win. Daniel Freeman playing No. 2 avenged an earlier season loss to Quirijn Van Veen at the ITA. His match was tight but victorious at 6-4, 2-6,6-4.
Against Marist, the Big Green had to get the job done in singles after the Red Foxes took the doubles point. With Marist up 1-0 in the team score the
Senior Captain Dave Waslen came back strong in his three-set matching coming back in the third after not converting on two match points in the second set.
The next match for the Green will be Wednesday when it faces the Boston College Eagles at 6pm at the Boss/Gordon Tennis Center.
