HANOVER, N.H. -- Three Dartmouth baseball players were named to the All-Ivy squad today, as announced by the league office.
Nick Santomauro (North Caldwell, N.J.) was placed on the first team,
Damon Wright (Dallas, Texas) made the second team and
Kyle Zeis (Solana Beach, Calif.) was named an honorable mention for the 2007 season.
Santomauro led the Big Green in all the major batting categories. He finished atop the team in batting average (.395), slugging percentage (.500), on base percentage (.500), hits (49), runs batted in (23) along with capturing first team honors. The freshman was strong all season for head coach

Wright's bat, along with his defensive awareness, got his name on the All-Ivy list. The junior ended the year with a .303 batting average, which placed him third on the Dartmouth team. In a team-high 132 at bats, Wright recorded 40 hits and 17 walks. His 10 multi-hit games led to 22 RBI. He had two three-hit games, one coming against Columbia, where he scored two runs in the Big Green's 8-3 win over the Lions.
Zeis rounded out the Dartmouth post-season honors, being named an Ivy League honorable mention. The right-hander made 14 appearances on the year, throwing 26.1 innings. His 4.10 earned run average was the second best on the team, behind captain
Russell Young (Cleburne, Texas). Zeis struck out 31 batters, including a season-high four against Yale in only 1.2 innings.
