HANOVER, N.H. ? Dartmouth men's tennis came out on top in its win over Marist on Saturday, Feb. 23, winning 6-1 over the Red Foxes.
Dartmouth did not have the double header that was suppose to take place today, as Stony Brook University did not make it to the Upper Valley because of the snow storm that hit
the northeast on Friday.
Against Marist, the Green came out strong, sweeping the doubles matches and securing the doubles team point, with the successful reuniting of
Mark Brodie (Greensboro, N.C.) and
Jeffrey Schechtman (Highland Park, Ill.) starting things off for Dartmouth.
With singles underway, junior
Ari Gayer (Hollis, N.Y.) put the Green up 2-0 with an impressive win at the No. 5 slot. Freshman
Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) followed with another solid straight set win at the No. 4, while Brodie finished Marist off with a straight set win at No. 1 to put Dartmouth into the win column.
With a win for the Big Green assured, both
Justin Tzou (Cupertino, Calif.) and
David Fink (Roslyn Heights, N.Y.) finished their matches with victories.
Dartmouth's final home appearance of the winter season will be versus Boston College this coming Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 6:00 pm.
