Russell Young (Cleburne, Texas) earned Ivy League Pitcher of the Week honors after his complete game shutout performance in the season opener at Navy.
Young was dominant in his first start. He tossed a two-hit shutout, going seven innings, while fanning a career-high eight batters, as he earned his first win of the 2008 campaign as the Big Green defeated Navy, 1-0, in the opener of a twinbill. After giving up a hit in the third inning, he carried the one-hitter into the seventh before losing it on the second batter of the inning. It was Russell's sixth career win and second shutout of his career at Dartmouth.

Damon Wright (Dallas, Texas) was named to the honor roll in the first Ivy League weekly awards of the season. The centerfielder started all three games against Navy on Mar. 1-Mar. 2 and batted .364 during the series. He went 4-for-11 with a run scored and a run batted in, along with three stolen bases in the final game of the series. In the 4-3 extra inning win in the series finale, Wright drove in the game-winning run in the top of the 10th.
Dartmouth returns to action this coming Saturday as the Big Green head south for its annual Spring Trip to Bradenton, Florida. Dartmouth will open the trip against Saint Louis on Saturday with the time to be announced.
