HANOVER, N.H. ? Dartmouth men's soccer senior
Craig Henderson (Wellington, New Zealand) has been named the Soccer America National Player of the Week after his role in the now 25th ranked Big Green's upset over then 3rd ranked Indiana.
Henderson scored two goals in the Big Green's victory over the Hoosiers, recording both in a span of 62 seconds. With Dartmouth holding a 1-0 lead, Henderson struck first at 63:31, finding the far post off a feed from Ivy League Rookie of the Week
Lucky Mkosana (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) and followed that up just over a minute later by using his head to redirect a throw-in from
Walker Linares (Santa Cruz, Calif.). He was named to the all-tournament team for his efforts.
Henderson, a forward, was also named the Ivy League Player of the Week.
#25 Dartmouth is back in action at home this weekend when it hosts the Nike/Hypertherm Classic at Burnham Field on Friday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 14. The tournament field includes Colgate, Fairleigh Dickinson and Yale, with Dartmouth kicking off against FDU at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
