TERRE HAUTE, IND. - The Dartmouth women's cross country team competed at the NCAA-Pre meet on Saturday and finished in 35th place. The freshmen class led the Big Green with three of their top five finishers.
Freshman Katelyn Walker led the squad with a time of 21:47.9. Junior Amy Schuman (Lee, N.H.) was next for the Big Green at 21:55.1. Rounding out the scoring for Dartmouth was freshman Hannah Rowe (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) at 22:01.0, freshman Bridget End (Summit, N.J.) at 22:37.1 and junior Elizabeth Short (North Reading, Mass.) at 22:38.8.
Florida State won the overall event with 115 points. Arizona finished in second (128 points) and Iowa State took home third (175 points). Ripser Kimaiyo of UTEP crossed the finish line first overall with a time of 20:03.4.
The Big Green next competes at the Mayor's Cup on Sunday, October 24, at Boston, Mass.
