PRINCETON, N.J. — The Dartmouth men's track and field team competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational on Saturday and had multiple competitors earn top 10 finishes.
In the running events, senior Tom Robbins (Evanston, Ill.) placed fifth in the mile at 4:06.01. Sophomore Connor Reilly (Nisayuna, N.Y.) finished fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.89. In the 200-meter dash, freshman Jalil Bishop (Twinsburg, Ohio) crossed the finish line 10th at 22.00. The quartet of sophomore Brendin Beaulieu-Jones (Vernon, Conn.), junior Evan Bryant (Baltimore, Md.), senior Joe Lonek (Epping, N.H.) and Bishop placed 10th at 3:18.08.
In the field events, senior David Irving (Manchester N.H.) placed in three events. He took second in the discus at 50.50 meters (165-08.00 feet), third in the hammer and fifth in the shot put at 16.18 meters (53-01.00 feet). Freshman Dom Filiano (Lebanon, N.H.) took ninth in the shot put at 15.49 meters (50-10.00 feet). In the high jump, junior Robert Contuzzi (Northhampton, Mass.) finished ninth at 1.95 meters (6-04.75 feet).
The Big Green compete at the Penn Relays and the UMass Invitational next weekend.
