Sophomore Silas Talbot was the Big Green's top performer Friday afternoon in Madison on the 6K Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, running a 24:32 to take 84th overall (82 points). The team was 24th with 619 points.
Syracuse (85) claimed the team crown, while former Harvard student-athlete Maxim Korolev ran a 23:43 to win the individual title, representing the Stanford Cardinal.
Following Talbot, a cluster of Dartmouth harriers crossed the line. Sophomore Nat Adams (106th/103p, 24:39) and juniors Curtis King (114th/110p, 24:44) and Brian Masterson (117th/113p, 24:45) all finished in a six-second window of one another as the second, third and fourth respective Green runners.
Sophomore Julian Heninger (218th/211p) rounded out the team scoring in 25:40, while juniors Peter Geithner (230th, 26:08) and Tim Gorman (247th, 26:50) were the final two Dartmouth representatives to finish.
The Big Green also ran at Brown's Rothenberg Run at Goddard State Park in Warwick, Rhode Island, taking home third place as a team with 92 points. Tony Anzivino led the team by finishing fourth in 25:15, while Connor Clark was eighth overall in 25:30.
